SLEIPNER Excavator Transport System

Our latest product does just that by lowering costs and increasing productivity. We have partnered with Sleipner in Finland to introduce the Sleipner - Excavator Transport System to mines across the USA and Mexico.

The Sleipner is essentially a dolly system consisting of large wheels connected by an axle and platform that is used to transport excavators more efficiently. Sleipner is used throughout any mining or construction operations including within an open pit, away from a blast zone, between quarries and to and from maintenance.

The Sleipner system is Simple, Safe & Reliable. No alterations are needed to any of your equipment and no other investments necessary. Current Sleipner units have the capacity to haul 40 to 400 ton excavators and work in any weather conditions.

HOW TO USE SLEIPNER

1. Transport Sleipner to the excavator location in the back of a haul truck.
2. Arrange the Sleipner units in front of the excavator tracks using the shovel.
3. Back the excavator into the Sleipner unit, releasing the parking brake.
4. Drop a "pillow" of backfill into the bed of the truck.
5. The bucket is then placed into the bed of the truck while applying downward pressure and bringing the front of the tracks off the ground.
6. The excavator is now ready to be towed to the next destination.

THE ADVANTAGES OF USING SLEIPNER

Cost Savings

• Sleipner significantly reduces maintenance costs of heavy loading equipment by doubling or even tripling the life of the under carriage.
• Due to excessive vibrations, walking an excavator can cause great strain on the undercarriage. There are many moving parts that need to be replaced including Track Pads, Rollers, Sprockets and Idlers.
• No other investments necessary.

Increased Productivity

• With Sleipner, the transport of an excavator is 4 to 5 times faster then driving on tracks. Transport times will be reduced by approximately 80%.
• Tracks travel approximately 1-2 km/h
• Sleipner travels 10-15 km/h
• Minimized waiting time for trucks to load allowing more loaded trucks.
• Scheduled maintenance can be preformed in a proper workshop, which ensures quality and safety.
• We recommend a Sleipner unit for each excavator for maximum efficiency.

SAFETY

All operations are done mechanically by trained truck and excavator operators inside their cabins and in constant radio contact.

Transport of the excavator can be interrupted at any time by lowering the tracks, which are only about 15 inches off the ground.

Speed is limited to 10 - 15 km/h.

Automatic safety brakes keep it in place when not in use.
